OSF Healthcare Payment Plan
Making healthcare more accessible and manageable for patients is the goal of OSF Healthcare’s payment plans. Not everyone can afford to pay an enormous amount up front, and medical costs might be substantial.
OSF Healthcare helps people stretch out the expense of their care over time by providing payment plans, which eases financial strain and makes it simpler for them to get the treatments they require right away.
OSF HealthCare Payment Plan is a service offered to help patients manage and pay their medical bills over time. If a patient is unable to pay their entire bill at once, OSF HealthCare provides the option to set up a flexible payment plan, allowing them to pay in smaller, manageable installments instead of a lump sum.
Key features of the OSF HealthCare Payment Plan:
This includes;
- Customizable Payment Terms: The plan can be tailored to fit the patient’s budget, with options for the duration and the amount of each payment.
- Automatic Payments: Patients can set up automatic deductions from a bank account or credit card, making it easier to stay on track with payments.
- Convenience: The plan can be managed online through OSF MyChart, where patients can view their balances, make payments, and track the progress of their payment plan.
Patients interested in setting up a payment plan can contact OSF HealthCare’s billing department or use the payment plan option available through their MyChart login portal.

Other Financial Assistance
In addition to offering discounts required by law, OSF HealthCare offers financial assistance for medically necessary health care services to those who qualify.
This includes the uninsured, underinsured or those who lack the financial resources to resolve bills for service. All patients are eligible to apply for this assistance. You must provide documentation of income and family size to determine the level of financial assistance available.
Pre-Approval
You can save time and be prepared for any future medical procedures by applying for financial assistance pre-approval. The approval process generally takes less than two weeks and is good for the next 12 months.
You do not need a current appointment for medical treatment, and only necessary medical procedures will qualify. Pre-approval applications and financial documentation can be submitted in person at your local OSF HealthCare hospital or online. Learn more at (https://x.osfhealthcare.org/patients-visitors/billing-insurance/financial-assistance/apply-financial-assistance) to submit pre-approvals for financial assistance.

Uninsured Discount
Some families may qualify for discounted health care through the Illinois Uninsured Discount Act or Healthy Michigan law.
To determine if you qualify, you will be required to provide proof of income, such as a copy of a tax return or pay stubs, as well as proof of state residency, such as a driver’s license, identification card or utility bill.
Your income will then be compared to federal poverty income guidelines to determine what level of discount (up to 100%) you may receive.
